I think schizophrenia voices are real. But, I don't know what they are. Maybe it’s external (demons, spiritual forces). Maybe it’s internal (your own mind creating them). Or maybe it’s something we don’t even have language for yet. But, if they are demons they are really sucky demons. Because I would of already went completely insane on my own if they didn't cruelly start breaking my ego down. Even though they cruel and unkind. I've gained so much from them reflecting the hidden self back to me. They won't allow me to hide from myself. Though they have a habit of only bringing to my attention dark shit. It is annoying I don't wanna know everything about my shadow. I don't want there cruel exposure therapy. I like learning about myself but not that bad. But, they force my shadow on me to deal with it. There unwanted mirrors. They expose my shadow relentlessly. They won’t let me escape into illusions. They’ve forced me to confront truths about myself I would never have touched on my own. Though I'm lucky some people hear complete nonsense or completely disturbing stuff.
If it is my mind creating it. How come voices know more than me about me. That's weird. I will never understand it.
Maybe I should read some Carl Jung he said...
“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
@chocopyro I remember you telling me it's my shadow. Can I ask you again what do you think it is?

Okay, so the shadow is a part of the self. The repressed parts of us to be more exact. The parts we pretend don't exist, argue with in the back of our mind, and all that jazz.
And yes. This comes from the Jungeon side of psychology. And as I've told many people, the Jungeon model is what most of us occultists subscribe to. Why? It's consistency with our spiritual experiences.
First of all, I should preface this by saying Schizophrenia is real. So is the placebo effect. So is paradolia. And we occultists KNOW this. This is why we dedicate so much of our time learning meditative techniques and training the mind to recognize and step out of strange headspaces that could be distorting information.
I want to get that out of the way first. Our experiences with the paranoramal are always going to be biased by distortions. If you want proof of this, check out your face in a mirror in dim light conditions. Dark enough to cast most of your face in shadow. If you do it right, you should be able to see first hand a kind of face morphing effect. THAT IS NOT PARANORMAL.
That is the human mind grasping at straws and struggling to fill in the blanks. Schizophrenic hallucinations are like that on another level.
But with that being said... Jung himself believed that the voices of the subconscious didn't originate from him. He believed in a shared conciousness. A collective conciousness. He believed that in the right frame of mind, if one's awareness to these voices was cultivated correctly, they could tap into a stream of consciousness that didn't originate from them.
And its because of this woman.

Also, here's the shadow (And the process of shadow mending, which is the healing and acceptance of your shadow) explained in game mechanics.
