Did you know that the Japanese aircraft carrier Kaga's downward facing exhaust funnel made the left side of the crew quarters so hot it was unihabitable.

She also had 3 flight decks, meaning she could launch and retrieve 3 aircraft at the same time. as fighter models got heavier their takeoff rolls became longer. eventually the extra flight decks were replaced with a single flight deck

German JU-87's were fitted with Jehrico trumpets, that would screach as the plane dived as a wah of pyschological warfare. The distictive sound it made apparently was so popular that most ww2 movies use this sound effect, as they thought all diving planes would have this sound.
