Okay since the competition that I was talking about so much here is happening in three days, I think it is time to write sort of a reflection on this past month of preparation. This month what I focused on is getting back into the shape I was before quarantine and also some minor fixes and adjustments of my technique. What improved the best was my squatting as it went from 120kg to 140kg which was my goal for this month. What helped me do this is an adjustment to my stance as my squatting stance. I noticed that a wider stance was felt more comfortable than a standart stance for squats. This seems like a minor fix but getting used to it took me a few weeks at least. My bench press stayed the same as before quarantine at 110kg. Nothing changed much except that I improved my leg drive when pressing and back arching. Just yesterday I managed to increase my deadlift from 175kg to 180kg. No stance or technique changes were made, my primary goal was to get back into the same weight as before the quarantine which I successfully did. Overall I would say I'm pleased with the training results and I feel fully prepared for the upcoming powerlifting competition this week

Finally I am back from the competition. It was a very valuable experience for me, to face up against other lifters in my age and weight class. I am proud of myself that I managed to come out in a 2nd place and I believe that this is a major step to achieving my dreams. I did 9 lifts. Each weight was chosen my by coach. I did not expect him to choose weight higher than my record before the competition. Squat - 130kg, 135kg, 145kg Bench press - 105kg, 110kg, 115kg Deadlift - 170kg, 180kg, 182,5 Powerlifting total: 442,5kg My weight: 109kg Wilks score: 261,16 Category: Intermediate
