Am I the only one who has a hard time trusting people who don't have friends of the same sex?

@voss The way it reads it seems like you are trying to argue apples and oranges. You seem to take them point of view as another person I know who was also raised with a complete lack of emotional support. It's hard to see the other's point of view when your life is so different. Hence the mention of comparing apples to oranges. If you don't have people to rely on as you grow up your viewpoints and way of dealing with things will be vastly different for many peoples. People who had that support growing up didn't need to create walls or their own way of standing up for themselves as people did who didn't have any support growing up. It's not fair for either person to judge the other or something that they never had. I'm not saying that one point of view is invalid but it is not proper to assume that one should be able to do the other immediately or so easily. Someone who grew up without needing to be so self supportive in that way is able to gain that kind of tree and ability but not quickly.

point is a bf/gf is the one who makes you either feel secure enough to not get wary over male/female friends, or makes you feel like you have to worry about them its a joint effort in feeling wanted, meaning its there responsibility aswell
combatvoss
And my point is If you're with someone whom you don't feel secure with then you either talk to them about it or walk away. If they care then they'll listen and try. If not then you should strive to be with someone better.
combatvoss
Or am I wrong for believing this? Again, I'm not saying that it's easy.

i cant say i agree 100% life has to many variables to make a blank statement as leave or dont leave
combatvoss
But for the most part, it is your choice whether or not to be with them. If your bf started treating you like trash Lamby, what would it take for you to leave?
combatvoss
If they don't feel the same for you as you for them, seems like you're doing yourself a disservice.
