She also (probably) didn't love you just what you were for her as long as you were something and when you aren't boom kthxbyefuckyou really. Not only that but you can't do enough for her to keep her around if she wants to go (I could go into this but I think you know what I'm getting at here). Shes got an excuse for everything but since you're naive and inexperienced in these things you believe her. Case in point a good 50% of the excuses she kept feeding me she went and directly contradicted when she was with you. When you snatched her from me while it did hurt like hell you ultimately did me a favor in the long run (you helped show me her true colors). If its not the distance it would be something else honestly kiddo. That ones just a very convenient excuse for her (shes so full of those its not even funny). EDIT: I once upon a time had a "temporary" separation from her (actually quite a few given the short time we were involved with each other) - about a week later she was on your dick just as an FYI
