At the end of the day it does not matter what either party says. They are both just going to take your tax money, and pass it off to rich people and big corporations. Mostly their backers, donors, friends, and family.

I mean, as long a lobbying, and private campaign finance are a thing (there is a public finance option, but its intentionally terrible), there will be outside influence, outside agendas, and deals struck, before the campaigns are even underway. Our parties and the US itself are sold to the highest bidder.
