There was this German WW2 movie that I watched a few years ago. It was one of the saddest movies I had ever seen. It showed that these soldiers were people too, they hated killing. They were forced to do it. There was this one scene that almost made me cry. This one soldier was talking about his childhood, I don't remember what he exactly said but it was something like "one my birthday, my mother got me a can of tuna. That was the first time I had something that wasn't bread". And that scene fucking broke my heart. I don't remember the name of this movie but if you do please tell me.

@verucassault I have seen Downfall and I liked it. But its not that. And it's not Captain either. I'll make sure to watch it. This movie is not in Black and White. I don't remember much but I do remember a scene where those German soldiers fought a few Americans soldiers, but the Americans (I think there was only one American) surrendered. The Germans let them go. At the end of the movie, American soldiers get those Germans and that one American was also there. The Americans executed them. The whole movie was about a group of German soldiers and they all die.
