Maison Ikkoku = favorite romcom ever
Rumiko Takahashi (Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha) created it based on her own experiences living in an apartment complex. The relationship and romance between the main characters is the most realistic portrayal I've seen in an anime series, starting with "Do I have real feelings for this person?" and "I have feelings but I'm gonna act like I don't," and progressing through confessions and being in love with each other.
The animation is rough early on, but it gets pretty decent.
did anyone watch Inukami?
