A serious message to EVERY MO user

A long post, but please read the entirety. As you know, I've been getting more, for a lack of a better term... more serious here, and it's making me look like a hypocrite. Some things I say may be offending some people, and while I'm sorry (to an extent on some topics), breaking old habits of trolling is not that easy. For a good 5 or so years, I was a /b/tard on 4chan and other sites, so I've grown desensitized to all that, and realize it's as mentioned when I try to control situations. Although TECHNICALLY I shouldn't be mentioning this, I am one of the mods of the site. I personally grown to feel that transparency of the website is important to gain trust in myself and things I have to do in order to keep the peace, or at the very least defuse some situations. There are times when if things get out of hand, I will temp ban people in order to resolve the situation if people don't listen, but even that power is limited to what/who I can moderate, so if you see anarchy and nothing is being done about it, that is why. Why am I telling you this? You deserve to know that there are people looking out for the best interest of the site and that we (the mods) ARE actively trying to do our jobs. You need to be able to trust me when I say things are getting out of hand and to knock it off. I will give everyone (that I can) one shot to knock it off; if it continues, if possible, you'll receive a 3 to 5 day+ temp ban, depending on severity. THIS HERE IS YOUR WARNING! If you have any questions that I am able to answer, feel free to ask them here. I can't guarantee I'll be able to answer them, but I will try my best. I hate doing this, but I'll accept any and all friend requests if you want to ask your question privately. If you wish to report something to me, I ask you do two things. 1. report the post so I can review it. Not all posts will be deemed deletable, so if nothing is done about it, chances are that is why 2. Kind of going with the first, make me aware of the situation. If the situation meets standards of a ban that I am able to accomplish, I will do so BUT do be aware that Sephiroth has final say in banning, so any temp bans WILL go through, but are reviewed by Seph as well. For their sake, I will not be mentioning the other moderators. I do hope you all understand and for the most part, unless you start shit directly with me, it is nothing personal. I won't ban you outright for that UNLESS it goes against the ToS and I have the power to. Since you're a mod, do you think you can issue some sort of warning to the users in the RACISM topic to either let the topic die off or to settle down? That topic is getting really old and neither side is budging. So it be nice to just stop that topic in some shape and form seeing it's nothing more than a pissing contest now. I'm not saying ban anyone, but just to warn them what could happen if they don't obey is all really. I hope you can do that. Cheers.

@Tiger: While there have been issues on both sides, While I would like to lock the thread due to that, I am unable to, nor am I able to delete individual posts, or the thread as a whole. I would love for the thread to get back on topic since it IS a thread that can be a serious debate, right or wrong; that is the point of debates, after all. The off topic namecalling and such has gotten out of hand, and I'd like to see nobody get banned for it, but that has to all go through Seph. Eldrid/Loli: np

Yes. I kept it hidden for this long because of being asked to. After many recent events I needed morally to come out and be transparent about my role and why I've been kinda being harsh with the rules. Moral is dowN because people think we're not doing anything. . Fact is we are trying, but limited what we can do. Have faith in us please.
