RACISM

napalmamaterasu
Again I'll plead to neko - while I agree (in general) with your premise your execution is highly lamentable and gives BLM ammo to use against whites. They get to point and go SEE SEE RACIST and then have more justification to lump the rest of us together. You make the rest of us white people (especially the Americans who have to deal more directly with BLM) roll our eyes and go "ahhh shit fuck no no no no no no fuckkkk he did shit". I only hope that there are some black people doing the same with Kichigai aka Exhibit A ... going "no no fuckk noooo this is what white people are looking for fuuuuuuuckkkk now those white people are going to lump us with him"

@Napalm Yeah, thank you for correcting me. It was years ago that I red the article. The relevant part is that he was declared innocent. That's what made everyone lose their shit. Understandably.

Oh I get why they lost their shit - but all of their momentum became emotional and wasn't supported much by known facts. Another minor but notable correction (how American law works) he wasn't declared innocent he was declared not guilty (of second degree murder) One might ask what is the difference aren't they the same thing - NO they are not! There is a difference and it is KEY Not guilty (criminal court, civil court will have a different enough answer) - we do not have enough evidence meeting the standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt; there is a reasonable doubt of guilt with respect to applying facts to law Innocent - not actually used in the court system because a not guilty verdict DOES NOT 100% equally mean that the person is innocent they just do not have enough evidence for a guilty verdict. Innocent means that the person(s) in question unequivocally did no wrongdoing. Don't get me wrong a not guilty verdict CAN mean that but one would have to closely examine facts and circumstances in order to arrive to this conclusion. I don't mean to pick on you xynomi but these subtle but key points need to be understood more clearly by the masses (BLM in particular). The below protip I'm not applying it to you I'm just using our dialogue to transition to it. Protip: if you want to change how our legal system works or view them unfavorably you MUST FIRST UNDERSTAND HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS; in other words educate yourself on how our legal system actually works FIRST then once understanding that if something is wrong your stance is more educated

S_S, apparently, "some people" think I'm an anti-white racist. I (dont) wonder why I don't care.
kichigai913
@Too Kawaii I wonder the same thing... I actually don't, I try to leave people like him alone to their own vices. It's not like he's being disrespectful, just not well informed. When he decides to actually listen instead of react, we can converse

Well, I'm whiter than paper and he treats me just fine. Tbh I switch lanes when I see a group of Turkish/Kurdish/North African guys in front of me. Racist? Maybe. But a group like that almost killed a friend of mine and for a few months after the incident I flinched whenever I saw anyone resembling them. Upon first meeting I might actually judge someone for their race as that's what you do. The first time you meet someone you try to evaluate the factors you are given. Gender, race, mimics and gestics.. but I'm very open for them to prove me wrong or right.
