Damn i haven't been here in a while. I understand where you're coming from. Don't "give up" but just put it on hold, i know that might not be what you want to hear but like you said it can be kind of demanding to purse and maintain a relationship if you're not in the best position. Just do your thing, focus on yourself till you feel like things are getting better and before you know it you will catch someone's attention and hopefully they will appreciate you and your hard work. I'm sure that there are some girls out there that don't care if a dude doesn't have a car, but they might be a bit harder to find or you're going after the wrong kind of girls ? I'm not trying to generalize, but it can be difficult now a days finding a ride or die kinda gal that likes you for who you are, but they're out there, some of my friends are lucky enough to have found them some. I'm far from an expert, but i don't think dating should feel forced necessarily. If you're putting yourself out there but things are not working out well, take a break from it for a bit. If you feel like you are not in the best position for a relationship, being in one at the moment could possibly drag you even further down as you have more responsibilities to worry about. As for the car, do you live in the suburbs or more in the city ? A lot of my friends don't have cars but just commute together on dates, keeps things interesting, kind of fun if you ask me. Anyhow, just take your time with it.
