So how's life?

Thank you, too. It was rough at the time, but I'm good now. It's weird how sometimes you don't see how you can possibly get over something, and then all of a sudden things start to feel good again. The universe really does have no sympathy when it comes to heaping things on people all at once; whether they deserve it or not. The good thing is that when things get better, they usually get a LOT better.

Eh, the usual. Will finally obtain my degree soon so I guess that'll be different.

I'm not doing great, and this seems like a decent place to vent. Having trouble with GERD. I was diagnosed (suspiciously) just a few months after I had my appendix removed late last year, and the specialist put me on a standard medication that helped a bit, but I also had to make a lot of lifestyle changes. Well, over the last several months I've cut out lactose, gluten, most fatty foods, and I drink nothing but water. I also started excercising more frequently. I've lost roughly 40 pounds, but I hate that I can't even have the occasional bit of cheese or a small piece of chocolate. Now, in spite of all that, I still have these occasional bouts of episodes where acid gets into my throat when I sleep and I end up choking in the middle of the night. It makes it nearly impossible to get back to bed. Last night was one of those nights and it was completely miserable. It's times like these that I really hate living alone... not having anybody to hold or to talk to. Talking about it here helps, but it's nothing like being able to confide in someone you're close to. I think I need a hug. :(

Life sucks. The 1 year anniversary of my one and only girlfriend ever breaking up with me is coming up, my parents take most of the money I make, and I'm afraid of starting college in the fall. Anime, this site and dungeons and dragons are my only escape.
