Manga suggestions for someone new to it.

I'm interested in getting into manga. I feel like it would be something I'd actually bother reading. But I need recommendations for where to start. My favourite genre is comedy. Action, adventure and sci-fi are sub-favourites. I'd prefer reading a manga that I haven't seen an anime adaption of.

An easy-to-read manga with a little mix of the genres/elements that you like I think is Sket Dance. I think it's good for a start in shonen manga that is not very "super hero-ey". :)

KHR (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!) At the beginning it will be plain humor but after Mukuro Arc there's no chill.
