Its crazy how just one announcement can make or break 2020 for me. This has been the worst year of my life already. Im just counting on you to make it the worst year period. Cause i highly doubt it will get worse than this.

You can want equal treatment for everyone and still not fall into the identity politics of it. Im 100% with you on those ideas tho, but theres too much negative connotation in those labels now. So i was just making light of it. Im just a humble shitposter after all so dont mind me.

the issue is im not gonna jump from the label of feminism which is defined as: the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. because of some rainbow haired xies on twitter the majority of feminists are just normal bros and gals

Feminism is a quite a convoluted subject, and unfortunately that has lead to a lot of confusion about understanding it, which has lead to a lot of naive hostility on both sides of the argument. I agree with the feminism movement but only on the general idea of it, equality for both men and women. but I feel as though that the problem with the feminist movement is how vague some of the ideas are. What is equality? how do you achieve it? what kind of equality? none of this stuff is ever spoke about in detail, it's always a vague answer. Feminism isn't something so simple, it's got layers and layers of social and political movements behind it, it's not something you can generalise because it isn't just about "equality for men and women" is it?
