I see social clubs being a thing of the future seeing as how meeting new people in person or "putting yourself out there" is a thing of the past. Loneliness is now an epidemic where 1 in 4 people say they lack social interactions. Touch grass. Not literally. Just.... get off your phone, PC, tablet. Do something that doesn't require internet access and that involves other people. Once you do something enough times or long enough, it becomes natural.

Since I switched my likes to "no preferences" since I'm not looking for anything I haven't checked my matches but I thought to do so just a moment ago. I find it funny it's mostly guys. https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExczU1dDdzdmQ5YmVvcmRrZjRqYnNrNXIydHZjb2ZvcThhcXJmZTZueSZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/75toITBY1d24o/giphy.gif

"If buying isn't owning, piracy isn't stealing" This must be addressed by these companies. I have lost digital content before. I try to avoid purchasing digital copies of games - though I do make many exceptions for Steam but it's because it's a platform that I don't foresee going belly up any time soon. For anime, I used to pirate but my husband has champagne tastes where media is concerned and couldn't tolerate watermarks. There began my journey into anime subscriptions. But, I must say I will probably continue giving money over to Crunchyroll. I didn't until they announced they were taking over Funimation and the only reason why I got into Funimation was because they were so tightly entwined with the English dub anime actors. The problem with pirating anime though, it's going to trickle down to the animators who already get paid crap. Really, I don't know why someone out there isn't trying to revolutionize the anime industry to make it more favorable for artists and creators. The culture has grown exponentially since I was a kid and started watching and is no longer considered a fringe interest. It's pretty mainstream. They should be getting mainstream money. Hollywood is dead and can't compete with what anime can do.

Today was the last day of a coworker who had been with us for almost 20 years. When he joined the company I was in my early teens (it began as a family business and I started working there at the age of 10 or even before that). A really cool guy and I wish him the best. It just got me thinking how fast time is going by.
