not really, because condoms break and children will always be born, children who need condoms so if you wanna get technical....

But cigarettes dont accomplish anything :^ ) they just kill. And condoms are meant to stop unplanned pregnancy. Sometimes they break, sometimes they dont. Here in the christian server we practice abstinence you definitely wont get pregnant that way.

along this same train of thought, cigarettes companies are kinda counter productive and its whats killing their industry less and less people are smoking, killing the industry (in first world countries) so it works mostly on misinformation, but with more humanitarian efforts we can assume that that market will also dry up, killing the entire industry so all around this is a fun thought, but irl doesnt work (im in a bad mood so if you spoil my fun i spoil yours)

sure, and rape whistles wouldnt sell if they worked because that would (in theory but obviously not in actual practice) deter rapists if rape decreases then so will the sale of these whistles it makes as much sense as the above two statements

Technically the cigarette industry isnt dying it merely evolved. The new craze is vaping, notice the smoking ads are now vaping focused? On the daily i see at least 3 people blowing the vape smoke out their windows of their car

but vaping is an entirely different discussion the adverse health effects of vaping is still in its fledgling stages, but on the base of it is that its healthier than smoking, while still hooking you so there for it is addictive and not (atleast as) lethal as cigarettes muting the whole vape variable completely as it has nothing to do with the counterproductive thoughts in general

@lamby no if condoms prevented all pregnancy and people kept using them and never had sex without it then we would be extinct. But we dont and we have kids one day and thats how it keeps going. Cigarettes are more of a "try it out and become addicted thing" rape whistles if they worked and stopped rape eventually they would stop buying them and the market would go down.
