@Riolis I have the same problem. Last person from my country who was here? 3 years ago. And it was only one person who joined from here. Personally I'm always afraid of sending friend requests to people, I always think I might be bothering them. Which I why I have never sent one myself. Also half the time I not an initiator of conversation...

I turned on my email notifications but it is absolutely not in sync xD so it's just a matter of checking the website itself.... Yeah but I'm also afraid I might encounter some perv XD It's like, a website to meet new people but like 99% doesn't have their own photo on here. That bothers me. And that's why I rarely sent out friend request because I would like to know who I'm talking with when things get personal. But the people that are online.. you can see it's the same people replying and stuff. Still fun but the site is kinda... deadish.

Many, many people here, boys and girls are pervs so good luck avoiding that. And honestly I don't think photos are needed to make a connection to a person. Just like any other interaction, you talk and learn about each other over time. If you're not interested then that's that, no need to attach a solid image of the person to sway you. But that's just me. Also I'm not too confident in my looks. I believe many users have moved over to skype to do a lot of their talking or are private messaging the friends that they talk to on here.

Yeah the notifications are kinda late. X3 I have the same problem of people adding me and never talking to me. I usually end up being the one to initiate conversation. I've met like one person that lives in my state! XD

Fuck you brain. I didn't mean pervs, I meant pedo bears xD I would like to see a picture of someone to be sure I'm not talking with some 60 year pedo and besides that it would be nice to know how someone looks like if you would ever meet up. Saves the forever looking around in the crowd problem. For a connection there isn't a photo needed, on that part I agree with you.

I have like one photo on here! x3 Will probably add more when I go to animazement this month since I'll be cosplaying. I do agree that it's good to know how someone looks like if you do end up meeting them.

To be fair, people can and have used fake photographs to pose as others so it doesn't 100% guarantee that the person you're talking to actually looks like that. In most cases, you'll be able to tell who's fake after interacting for a bit. Sure if you wanna meet up, of course you're going to need a photo in order to find them otherwise you'll have some trouble to say the least. Of course you can take what this non-photo show-er has to say with a grain of salt.

True true but you can google search an image if you're not sure if it's real or not. I haven't interacted a lot yet but there must be some lead when someone is fake. I'm guessing. And... yeah.

@animekid if you mean an email notification im not checking that shit XD it takes more time for me to check my email than to go to my page and check. if you cant get a notification when someone messages on your thread why not get one when they message your page? i rather that than the thread notification
