The real problem is that when somebody has discovered something, it's easier to understand. Are all children who have science in high school smarter than Newton? Hell no! I'm positive that we indeed will become more intelligent. Natural selection will do the work. We are always changing. There has never been a time we and our abilities did NOT change. I'm an optimist in that matter. I believe we'll move forward rather than backwards.

Geniuses are genetic defects. Much like redheads (also genetic defects) they will exist. But yes, computers make a lot of things easier. Information overflow doesn't make us dumber though. It makes us selective to which type of information we actually register. Which is different depending on the person...
