Well, 5 girls I've dated related varying types of abuse/rape they have been through and several friends as well. (usually by family or friends of the family) But all that and drug overdoses is why I left.
My recent ex-roommate had a problem with stalkers in the little town we lived in (about 8,000 people). It got to the point that I was walking her the quarter mile to and from work because she was scared.

There are ways to know exactly what a creep can do. If he has crushed fingers, he won't be doing any grabbing for example.

I'm personally not very strong.
I just memorised parts of the anatomy that are particularly weak and the ways to cause damage to them with little effort.
Also this took an informative turn. Thanks for sharing.

I've always wonderd if the more we breed the dumber we get. We don't need a perfect brain to function. I've herd about a guy that had a brain the size of a walnut that could live a normal life. Soon most kids will have trouble in school and we will have to get paid by how creative we are or something instead of how good at math we are. That would be sweet

Well... going by the pattern shown by the previous century.
At around the 50s-late 90s. education has become easier with technology and information has become alot easier to obtain.
So that might screw up the data if you were ever put in a study for it. Plus the content of education drastically changed around the 90s with the death of things like latin in schools. That being said I am just going on UK's education.
The general consensus on intelligence is IQ isn't a good measure of objective intelligence as it only uses one type. Which is mainly problem solving. Aspects like memory retention should be taken into account too.
And alot of it splits into sensory stuff too. Like muscle memory which goes into sports and MLG, or audio memory for music composition.
Its certainly easy to compare a person's particular intelligence. But to say a person is smarter in general just because they are superior in that particular intelligence is pretty bias.
Thus far studies in neurology hasn't really gotten anything outrightly conclusive. They know the basic functions of each component of the brain does, but only have hypothesises on what the varied sizes of each component does when it comes its actual function.
1. because the instances of abnormal sizes are so rare. And hence experimentation has a negligible sample size for empirical data to be compiled.
2. its not yet fully understood how the balance of the brains neural... economy actually works.
And no. The sciences will always be needed and the talent always required. Its very selfish to say that all we'll need is creativity. We will still need talented people to fall back on when things go wrong.
the arts will and always will be an indulgent self important luxury of the 1st world.

The only smart time was back in the pyramid days. We are smart now with technology but I think Alians help us. Maybe there were here in the pyramid days though.

@siru as for Germany the expectations are to get smarter and smarter. You need a degree for almost everything and getting a degree is a lot more difficult than in the past. Our brains are growing so the guess that we are getting more dumb is not likely the case. We aren't really more creative either..

there is no evidence of brain growing though. Only exposure to information and access to it.
