Try not to be too intense too soon. Play things aloof and let her come around to you. As for actually meeting the person to do the above with .... you're going to need magic or perhaps even straight up necromancy. Cons are a great way (not that I've ever been to one) but this might be the most anime / nerdy interest centric place around so you have a decent shot here. Although the all important ratio is what you'd think it would be so there's that problem.... Although the trick seems to also be don't go looking for it and to just let it happen .... +1 to Sirubaa going with the "being an ass" theory .... I'll support that

It's harder to really find the kind of people you're looking for in real life. There are a lot of anime and game fans out there but in real life they seem a bit scattered about. Not to mention irl people don't just have a clickable link to a bio so you can get a good idea about them. Thus it's better to look in places that would be more likely to have them gather. Conventions and what not. Another option is just forums, really. Sites dedicated towards the things you're interested in. It's tricky cuz yeah what if so-so girl is far away but I mean -shrug-

Its better to just find a girl instead of a specific girl, limited yourself from gods different fruits is wrong, and unmanly! taste everything!!!!!! but in all honesty, its easier (and better) to build a relationship and introduce each other to new things (you introduce her to anime she introduces you to bondage and wax play and etc etc) than it is to just find one girl who likes anime. plus remember, nerdy girls are fought after by nerds everywhere, you need good skills and charm to win their hearts

Put the vibe out there and go to places you like to go to. Wear a modestly nerdy shirt that shows your anime love. Realistically the best thing you can do is try and attract someone who has an interest but is probably isnt as into it. If you are a hardcore OTAKU but for sure go to anime conventions and strut your stuff like confidant guy that you are and at least one girl will look at you or you will talk to one and she will have an interest in you. If there are other things you can do to boost your confidence then go for it and do it.
