Why did start watching anime?

vivianoblivion
Back when I was in Iraq, they only showed Arabic dubbed animes. Pretty old stuff like Grendizer and Future Boy Conan.

I felt video game passion fading away in place of anime.

Started with manga and eventually I wanted to watch the shows.

Started staying up late on weekends with my dad as a kid. We ended up finding the original adult swim/toonami one night. Been hooked ever since.

I started watching anime when I was five it was sailor moon. It wasn't until I was about ten before I could tell the difference between non-anime and anime. That is when I realize I liked anime.

I first saw anime on TV (DBZ, FMA) when I was around 10 and was instantly hooked. Watched FMA completely and then didn't touch anime for few years. When I was 15 I discovered it again in the internet and spent my whole summer just watching anime. Kept going and still am

I started because I liked it basically. I watched Cartoon Network when I was younger and eventually I noticed DBZ on Toonami. Started watching other anime on it as well. Then someone told me about Pokemon after I talked about how much I liked DBZ, got hooked on that. Then I started watching anime on adult swim, Anime Unleashed on TechTV, anywhere I could find it. Found that there was tonsssss of it online. I got so hooked I began to pirate anime (I was still a broke jobless kid in grade school). Nowadays I've honestly calmed down a bit, I don't watch as much I used to. I more so just keep up with a few new ones on Crunchyroll and what not. Occasionally find something to binge watch if I'm bored. It's not so much I've grown out of it but moreso I just game a lot more lately.

I saw the ending theme of inuyasha on adult swim and fell in love with the music. Then I began watching the series and other animes because of the art.

First anime I remember watching was either Inuyasha or Yu Yu Hakusho. I thought it was awesome and loved the animations. Was hooked instantly.
