Sorry to necro this but it's great to see an Undertale thread. Picking a favorite character is hard but I love (The Great) Papyrus and Undyne. They're goofballs and I love seeing their conversations together. Cherish them. Well?! ARE YOU CHERISHING THEM?! Did the Pacifist Run then did most of the Genocide before resetting after getting off of Mr. Bones Wild Ride. I wasn't going to let that little demon win, so it's fine if you reset before entering the throne room. P.S. I love Goatmom.

It wasn't quite dead yet, but it was well on the way, everyone basically debating wether or not the game was actually good, the character depth, the gameplay etc. This was more for the people that actually liked the game to talk about stuff so that was kind of killing it, at least for me. That's interesting to know. For some reason I want to perfect pacifist route in it's entirety before doing the genocide route if I ever do it. I want to explore every little bit of the game, read every dialogue, see every little thing before going onto something different. I'm not a completionist as some of the others here are. I will go back and check everything out before finishing. But, as far as gaming goes I'm probably very atypical. I like the phone call from Papyrus in Waterfall. I changed from my tutu to the bandanna and somehow he still fricken told her what I had on. And now I imagine Frisk wearing a tutu on their head. I love Goatmom too, everyone should love her! I absolutely love that line, but my absolute favorite is the trash can. I would want that on my shirt.

Heh heh, yeah same thing happened to me only I had switched from bandanna to the ribbon (I never thought to investigate the OTHER waterfall on my first playthrough). But you can't stay mad at that Cool Dude, he only wants to help. And yeah, Toby Fox is incredible with putting in so much detail into the world. You can use the stick against the dogs AND Mettaton for example. Alternative dialogue with Flowey and Sans when you reload at certain points. If the first few monsters and mom dying don't make you feel bad in the genocide run, Papyrus will most definitely hurt, you might even find yourself quitting. The characters just feel so alive.

Knowing how much I like Papyrus I would not be happy with killing him.

*Minor spoilers although I think most people already know what happens in the Genocide route. I feel like a horrible person since I never had an issue killing Papyrus. Killing Goatmom made me feel miserable, killing Undyne on the neutral route was particularly bad (worse than the Genocide version), but killing Sans was easily the worst for me. I know I'm a bit of a fanboy, but by then you truly get the impression that the last hope for the world has been destroyed. He's also trying to hide his complete and utter misery with humor and a smile, which was hard for me to deal with... And it's probably for the better that you reset your game after that battle because the consequences are much worse if you continue :)

Killing a bunch of people in a video game was fun, but if I make one (which I have plans to), the bad ending will be ten times worse.

@Darkmagus But if you just go into this game and kill you don't get to appreciate everything the game offers. Good luck on your game, I'd be interested to see how it comes out. @utagoul1991 I felt pretty bad when I killed Goatmom. I was like "WAIT! SHE DIED?!?! D:" Cause I had no idea what was going on... She told me to attack and when I did I thought she'd back off, but she didn't. I kind of relate to Sans, not his situation obviously, but the depression, feeling that the world as you know it is completely out of your control, wishing you could just sleep and maybe wake up and things would be fine, but it's all crap, and especially trying to cloak my own misery with humor and a smile. YES! I haven't myself played the genocide route but I've seen what happens. It's not pretty...

@Sarcastic I never said I didn't like everything the game has to offer, but the genocide interests me the most. Friendship stuff gets old quick, as a Sociopath it feels like I'm wading in garbage. I do like the characters though, just killing things to see what happens is more interesting. If this world had no consequences I would have made several moves already.

@darkmagus I didn't say you didn't like everything the game has to offer, but you literally don't get to appreciate everything the game has to offer because you can't. As for being a sociopath... I think that sort of thing is generally frowned upon for very good reasons. I think this actually shows the consequences of your actions in game form towards a group of people you can't relate to in a world that feels real but really isn't, so it's easier to do harm towards them and get a bit of gratification out of it that way... Seems like we are complete opposites, so being enemies with everyone and having the same-old-same with games kind of makes me feel like I'm wading in garbage, it's just a bunch of the same crap maybe in different formats etc. This is how most games are, which is probably why I'm not big into most games.
