Does anyone have any weight loss advice for upcoming cosplayers

alice_kills
I would really like to cosplay different animes but I have a hard time cosplaying females. I can get away with crossplaying but my weight doesn't go well with female cosplaying. Are there any experienced cosplayers who know any cosplay secrets or weight loss recommendations.

I'm not a trained medical personnel or anything for me the best way would be to watch what you eat and be more active. There is no real fad diet that'll last unless you change your personal habits. You probably hear all the weight loss advice and they're all the same -control your portion size -more veg than proteins and grains. I actually went on a gluten free diet once cause of my room mate. You lose weight but man do I love normal pasta though :/ -be more active -cut soft drinks, more water. Actually there's a tip there. Drink some water before you eat, it'll help you feel fuller if you're having issues controlling your portion size -junk food less -try to not eat out often As long as you burn more cal than you intake, you should lose weight. How much and how fast is up to your own body and mental state. Hope that was somewhat helpful

best thing to do with most of us on her being people that like to sit on a couch or in front of a computer screen all day drink lots of water all day every day. It will make you less hungry and clean out your system. also if your not so active eating less should help its all about using more calories then you take in. Also here is a list of negative calorie food that meaning it takes more calories to eat them then they actually have in them. http://www.fatfreekitchen.com/negative-calorie-foods.html hope this helps.

The best way to lose weight, according to my marathon training experience, is to have lots of time on your hands so that the weight loss can be natural and well-paced. You're going to have to STICK WITH WHATEVER YOUR REGIMEN is. I ran 2-3 miles three days a week, and then on the weekends went on long runs upwards of 10 miles, but no more than 21.5 miles. You just need to have a lot of time and a good schedule, and eat lots of protein from DIFFERENT sources, and hydrate yourself whenever you feel thirsty (but do it right in order to prevent hyponatremia, a low amount of salt in your blood). And you need to have PEOPLE there, willing you along to improve yourself, because the weight loss is a mental improvement as well. It's not about the number of pounds/kilograms you weigh in the end, it's how you look at yourself, and how you can compliment your own body in front of a mirror. xD I didn't really LOSE weight so much as rid my body of some fat I needed to use for energy, and then gain muscle in places that I appreciate. >:) It took about seven months. Endurance running results in a body that's prepared to consume a buttload of calories and be done with it. You'll also rid yourself of toxins and be able to resist temptation better, because you know that the next day you'll perform badly at a run.

I definitely agree with Kyetge!. I find that staying with whatever plan you decide to follow is probably one of the most important parts of losing weight/fat/etc. Even if it's a simple 15 minute work out everyday (you should probably alternate the exercises), there can be significant improvement in record time. Even if you can see a difference right away, trust me. Chemicals are changing away inside of you. I had gained quite a bit of weight this year because I stopped working out, and it bummed me out pretty bad. When I started dancing everyday for a couple of hours though, I slimmed down right away. Your body WANTS to be healthy, and will always respond positively to healthy choices. I think you'll even find that after being active, your body will start to crave foods that are better for you. Also, that negative calorie food list that soulxevans posted is a great way to break into better eating habits without sacrificing taste (of course, I'm just looking at the fruits because I'm a picky eater).

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. wittynicknamehere: thanks the info does help alot. I'm gonna see how drinking water before I eat will help, so I hope it goes well. soulxevans: Thanks for the website looks really helpful. Kyetge: thank you. I've got a lot of extra time now so I probably start a small excerising routine but from what you told me running is a big part of it XD Mop: Thanks for the advice and support Hope it all goes well and thank you all. ^-^
