You know, people like me are getting tired of reading your unwarranted attacks on our religion. Just because of what a minority believe, doesn't reflect the honest, decent people who believe in Jesus. You honestly need to mature and stop attacking other people.

Minority? I dunno about that. You can get as tired as you want about my beliefs about Christianity - but there's not a damned thing you can do about it. The sampling from here is likely to be skewed more moderately, so I can't use the people here as a representation of that. I'd simply point to the people who vote against things like abortion, same sex marriage, religious freedom, and the congressmen they elect to represent them - there's a huge distrust of nontheistic and atheistic people in this country and a significant portion of Christians lean right wing here in the US and abroad, I mean look at a Christian dominated country like the Phillipines where abortion is effectively outlawed, divorce too and many other things a secular country lacks. The US is secular, so I may say what I damn well please about Christians. As to whether that makes me a bad person is up in the air.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. You can oppose Christianity all you want, but it doesn't mean you should post it on this forum. I'm just offering a tip so you go through life without less conflicts. There are bad people who call themselves Christians. There are people who try (and succeed) in legislating morality. But many Christians (and all religions) go about their lives like everyone else, save they pray and attend religious services.
By constantly blasting about it you are appearing as a major dick. In similar terms, you're on the road to becoming as bad as the people you hate. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Pick your battles and try to channel your anger. Otherwise, you could end up just as ignorant as them.

What you seem to think is my everyday behaviour is generally restricted to the domain of online personas where there's no trace of who I am. If you met me in real life, you'd see a totally different person, on the surface.
I don't believe myself to be ignorant. I believe I'm rational, maybe even a little radical. So be it. I've the mind for it, just passed a certification today and got a very high score on the exam with little to no study. And its things like that, which set me apart from the average anon.

I never said you were an idiot. In fact, you raise a lot of good points that others overlook or outright ignore. I'm simply stating that a little diplomatic tact in dealing with people goes a long way, and while you may agree with others, dealing with people, even online, has more positive outcomes then negative.
And furthermore, many of your criticisms of Christianity are of sound reason and validity. I accept what the Catholic Church has done and continue to do, and the hypocrisy of many clergymen, both past and present. I don't deny what we've done. But I do reject the premise that all Christians or a religious group should share collective responsibly. It's like saying all Germans from 1933-1945 were Nazis and willingly collaborated. Many did, but many didn't. It's much more complex that simply one side or another.
Hell, I don't even like dealing with other Catholics because they can either be as liberal (in the sense of accepting other views) or as fanatical as Pat Roberts. I just call people out individually.
I think you should refine your arguments to be specific to certain people and not an entire group.

I do have to add that you're seemingly confusing a LOT of Catholics for Christians. They are similar, but they are definitely not the same thing.
I definitely have some things to say about atheists/agnostics, but I won't because it isn't my place. And because I know not all atheists/agnostics are the same.
But I do agree that far too many Christians are Christian in name only. Going to church every Sunday doesn't magically make all the shitty things they did that week go away. Yet they like to pretend that it does. That and there's far too many people in this world that attempt to pull literal meaning out of symbolism. And they never practice the caring and forgiveness they preach.
There's good and bad everywhere; every race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. has its undesirables, its extremists. One starts screwing up when trying to make literal statements from symbolism.
But there are still good Christians out there, who do their best to be good. Not out of the threat of a Hell, but just because it was a good thing to do.
Hell, I'm a Christian (a bit of an unorthodox one, I admit) and I passed a homeless guy every morning on the way to work. I'd pick him up a hot coffee and meal; not for gratitude or payback. I've been close to where he was in my past, except I had a car to sleep in. Seeing him have to endure that was torture to me, but I couldn't even imagine how bad it was for him. I still miss Thomas, he was a good guy.
Even so, that doesn't exonerate me from being an asshole at times. We're all human, we all fuck up. :)
Personally, I'd redirect your anger at the pastors and preachers (of multiple religions) that translate that symbolism into hate for their congregations to feed off of. I'll never trust a clergyman.
