I haven't read all the posts here so it may have already been said but along the lines of one of the first posters who mentioned the "nature works to make us not want to inbreed" thing, I believe it works sort of like that yes but it also is heavily affected by the factor of whether or not the two people grew up together as well. Which might be the reason another poster mentioned that family ties didn't prevent him from thinking some of his cousin's are hot. He probably didn't grow up around his cousins like he might have grown up around a sister.
