Anyone want to have a meet up in the NYC Tri-State Area?

I'm always looking for new friends, new contacts and stuffs like that, so why don't we all have a get together? We could meet in Manhattan, and travel around through there, (maybe stop to get some fabric since I need to do commissions) and just hang out and have fun! If any of you would want to stay later, I waaas making plans to go to Ceilo, a club in New York, NY and was hoping to get a group together for that! :) Let me know on here or in messages, maybe it could be a nice way to de-stress and stuff! :D

It's a possibility. If it's on a Monday, I could do it since I always have Mondays off. Any other day and I'd have to put in a time off request at work (need at least 18 days notice). As for the location, I could possibly do that too, the only thing would be finding a place outside NYC to park my car and take a bus or train into the city. I guess I could always try taking a bus from Springfield to there.

These plans are like.... WAY in advance Hirako, I was thinking of doing this in late July :) You might be really close to me Hirako! If you're in Springfield, we can take the train together, since I'm close to South Orange. Which would be better for you is what it all depends on. Noir, when I said Springfield, I meant the one in MA. I know there's usually a Springfield in nearly every state, so I figured I'd clear that up. PM me if you want my number to keep in touch with this because I think my internet will be cut off soon for real this time, or at least limited to my housemate's work laptop wifi. Another idea to throw out there for a non-convention gathering is maybe Boston, Plymouth, Hampton Beach or some other random coastal MA town. I know it's quite a trek for you and other possible peoples, but I'm willing to let you all come out to western MA where I am and I can take everyone the rest of the way. An alternative to that could be maybe some idyllic, small coastal towns along the east coast. If it's a super nice day, it would be great for some outdoor activities like frisbee or beaches.

Will do. My ex (the previous/good one) invited me to acosplay gathering at Boston Common that's going to be August 11th, but i think that weekend is the Massachusetts Tax Holiday, so with my shitty luck, I'll probably be working all weekend if that's the case. Besides, a smaller group gathering sounds much better because I'm pretty sure that other one will have a fairly large turnout.
