Dumb things you thought or did as kid

sugarbotan
Thinking back on your childhood, what are some dumb things that you thought or did?

When I was about 7 or 8, I microwaved a marshmallow. I was amazed with how large it had become so I reached in to get it and eat it. It didn't stay large for long and burned my thumb so badly I got a blister. Oops!

When I was really little I wanted a chicken so i thought that I could take an egg out of the fridge and warm it up and give it time to hatch. Needless to say my closet smelt pretty bad for a few weeks :/

Haha! I did that one too! Put it in the top drawer of my dresser!

When I was younger I couldn't wait to eat soup even tough I was warned repeatedly that it would burn me, It burned my mouth so bad. I just got used to the heat now though, lol. I can't stand to wait for things to cool off.

I always microwaved marshmellows; they get really large. Let's see though. I used to go in the mall with friends with a sign that read "Free Hugs" and we'd try to get the most. Idk why we did it but we met some cool people. We would always go to fairs and stay on the bumper cars, select a victim, and back him into a corner, then put the car in reverse and drive forward at once. lol. I was a weird kid

i never told about the burning of my room, that involved my grandfather injuring himself. I felt bad. I was a kid, I panicked. All I did is kept my mouth shut and didn't utter a word. I didn't even know what I was thinking at that time but, it was dumb of me that I didn't let the know that there was fire...

I had no idea what the word 'gay' meant when I was a kid, just that there was some negativity connected to it. I found an easy way of getting people to leave me alone was by calling myself gay. worked well at even deflecting a few bullies in my early years till I realized what it meant.

@Crimsonsun Sounds like you had a lot of fun lol @SeeingCrimson Don't be so hard on yourself! It's hard to know what to do when something goes wrong. @neet-one After you realized what it meant, was it difficult to get rid on the label or did you just stop saying it and people eventually forgot?

@sugarbotan, I moved around a lot so it wasn't really an issue.
