Advice for anime / game themed parties?

Going to a party in the city later tonight that is anime and video game themed. I usually never go to these things because the pressure throws me off. I'm much better at socializing at say a convention panel or club meeting than a party, but I figured why not. The event is 21+ and bills itself as somewhat of a singles event. So can anyone with more party/club experience, especially nerd themed ones, offer advice on the best way to approach women at these events?

Get a fishing rod and on the hook put a few hundred dollar bills. I'm sure you'll nab plenty of women by the end of the night.

@OP - If it's an anime themed party ask if they like anime; capitalize on the opportunity to discuss your hobbies if they are. Talk to women as casually as women you know; they are just humans like you. You talk to them every day so try to relax and just enjoy the evenings activities with no expectations just observance and celebration. Have fun.
