Is anyone else not fond of drinking?

I am definitely not a fan of getting wasted, but I do greatly enjoy the taste of a good beer. Unfortunately, the kind of beer at a lot of college parties is the cheapest stuff, so it tastes horrible. However, my company make partitions for a large amount of local breweries in the Philly area, so if I am out somewhere, I try to support them. Some of these have some great tasting stuff, Victory Brewing Company in particular. Like I said, I'm not a fan of getting plastered, I've only been down that road twice in my life. Once was at college because I was such a nice, caring and quiet dude back then, all my friends wanted to see me drunk. So I ended up drinking like 13 cans of natty light in 1.5 hours - not a fun night. But I hate light beer cuz it tastes horrible. One thing I greatly enjoy in life is good conversation. There isn't much better then getting together with a couple guys and having a beer or two and having deep meaningful conversation. It's one my greatest joys in life!

I'm not entirely opposed to drinking, but I'm a light weight after one drink I get all tipsy and start laughing like a hyena.

Even if I were to like it...my stomach reject it, just one sip and it's starts to hurt. Besides beer taste the same to me, I don't taste the difference and they have no flavor. Alcohol..no don't like it no even smoking, just the smell gives me a headache

Talk about drinking. I never try one except take a lick on it and I feel the bitter aching me. I prefer soda over beer. My coworker or college friend make a big fuss on me not drinking alcohol or smoking. I'm not a drug person or drinking maniac. Talk about well learned people who always know alcohol is bad for your body. I don't know why they go to school for. Unless they never study health. Alcohol and smoking free. My friend can drink or smoke they want just stay away from me for few centimeter until the smell is gone :).

I Don't mind people Drinking But it's Rare occasion for me to Drink alcohol Sometimes socially But even then its Rare now.... I could care less for smokers don't really care for that stuff

I very rarely drink alcohol, partially due to cost. I don't like the taste of beer at all, so I don't drink that. Wine is okay, but frequently still gives me that bitter aftertaste. Mixed drinks are more up my alley, but at $7+ per drink, or some insane cost to buy the ingredients to make your own... yeah, that's why it's so rare for me. (And why I've never been drunk.) But being pressured to drink? Those people are fools. If you need alcohol to have a good time, you're doing something wrong. Obviously OP knows this. I've quite a few friends who don't drink, and we have just as much (if not more) fun as the few who do.

Can't stand the stuff, but saying that I'm all for experimenting and trying different types of beers, wines, cocktails, etc to see if there is something I do like but to no avail. I just don't like it and it's not like I need it neither - when it comes to parties I can be the only sober one there and I can still have a ton of fun, talking to people and dancing and all that good stuff and that's just fine with me. But as for the those people who enjoy alcohol, to each their own - I'm glad there's something for most people but it's certainly not for me :D
