How much have you spent total on anime/otaku/manga merchandise so far in life?

*laughs weakly* That's... a number I don't want the answer to. I know the number of volumes of manga in this room alone exceeds 3500. DVDs are another 4-digit number. (Most of my VHS are gone now; I've been doing this a while.) Add in artbooks (a vice of mine), a few figures, video games, and well... scary wouldn't even begin to describe it.

Maybe around 1000-2000? What I might lack in larger quantities of money spent on anime, manga, etc. I make up with the fact that virtually every dollar I've spent in my life (minus gifts for other people and the VERY rare occasion that I actually buy food for myself) is tied into anime, manga, etc. in one form or another.

Oh god, probably at least $5k. I tend to buy in bulk, so I'm not paying full-price for anything, but it still adds up. I have 50+ anime series, plus 400+ volumes of manga, and about 10 figures that I have bought (a number of grab bag figures as well). I also buy some fan-art and just interesting art, but I have a specific style I like so I do not buy much of that type of merch.
