Getting rid of past memories...?

I too had and now sometimes I get horrible nightmares. The worst thing is that some felt so real. Those bad memories I wish i could forget but its impossible. In almost all of those nightmares someone wants to kill me ( the devil, a spirit, a ghost, even someone in the darkness who call my name) to this point i wonder if is cuz i'm afraid of getting hurt by people or well who knows. Is not that I believe on all of the meaning of dreams, but you should go back remember some things and go search the meaning behind it. I have to say that some that I search on have been correct. I know is scary, but you have made it this far so keep on moving forward.

Make new memeories. Try to go and experience new things make new friends have fun etc. You'll begin to remember less and less and the bad things.

Try taking a deep breath to clear your head and let out any of the stress that might come with the thought and change the subject in your head, though you can never really run from the past, instead you should come to peace with it and know it's gone and never coming back.

That's actually harder than other people believe :/ Mental shit could stay forever. I've got 2 weaknesses as well and I'm fighting with myself sometimes ^.^' So if someone here knows how bad such shit can be, then it's me! >.< Well as far as I know you got oppturnities. First: Suppress it, distract yourself from them and do positive things, play games with friends, go to the cinema or whatever ^^ Simply try to forget it and live your life ^w^ Problem: I would be surprised if you're really able to forget these parts of your past :o Prolly there are things which remember you of them and well... there are back then :< Second: I dunno what the problem is exactly but if it's a beef with a person or a destroyed but important object for you, all just examples xD You've still the chance to make things right, face that person and free yourself from negative influence or try to rebuild an object. Sometimes not that easy of course, but I'm pretty sure it isn't about a object anyways :p Otherwise maybe after years and a lot of good experiences we're finally ok with that :D I guess stay strong is the what you need to be :) One last tip for bad times.
