Wish I had an awesome voice >_<

@mariahaise WILL DO! @Arc Mm.. this.. is true.

I would suggest working with a voice coach or two before deciding if you can or can not sing. While there are people who have natural talent or a pleasing tonality even they got good from doing it a lot.

Going on what DarkuSchneider said, yes, you can improve your singing voice, but unfortunately you can only do so much. You can learn to control your voice to the maximum and even stretch your vocal range a bit, but being born with malleable vocal chords with a big range is the best determination for a great singer. Many of the songs you and I want to imitate perfectly are sung by people that are just "born with it". With some vocal lessens you would definitely have an edge on your friends in karaoke though.

Aye, I get what you mean. Honestly, I want to do voice acting and stuff and I practice quite a bit but I reckon my voice sucks - people tell me it's quite good but I just find it so hard to believe them, especially hearing back my recordings where I can't help but to cringe at the sound of my own voice. If I could somehow be comfortable with my own voice then it wouldn't be a problem but this kind of issue is a real confidence killer in what I want to do even if it is currently just as a hobby.
trahecreations
my voice isn't bad, but It is made only for soft ballads or lullabyes, you know soft gentle songs. I wish I could sing all types.
pippy

For my weaknesses I cover then up with my strengths.I don't really enjoy my owne voice aswell so I speak little. It helps to change up your lingo too.

Hey, as long as you're enjoying the feeling of song, singing it terribly or not, then who cares if you're not a professional singer! Unless that is your goal. Most professional singers sound awful on a live stage anyway.
pippy
@jaybee This.. is true xD. No i don't want to sing professionally haha.. just for fun ;].

Me singing = a weird off-tune combination of Layne Staley from Alice in Chains and Zakk Wylde from Black Label society. There's never a day that goes by where I wish I had decent voice lessons. :C I feel you man.
