What is the SAFEST way to kill a zombie?

I'm a big fan of spike pits. Crude contraptions that are highly effective. It has a danger of accidentally killing survivors that might have otherwise helped you though.

I don't think most people are as dangerous as depicted. The towns and cities we are most familiar with will rise again just because that's the type of creature we are. Will there be Saddams and Castro? Certainly. In particular the one on the right, the Sasumata, was used for nonlethally restraining suspects. With a little tender love n' care it could be made to lethally restrain, or decapitate, suspect zombies.

Just dig a trench around your house making it like 15 ft deed and 10 feet wide could be a nice idea then I'd just ignore the world as always and go back to doing what I normally do, should they manage to get past it thats where the brick wall will be.. done.. nothing over kill or anything.. just simple stuff..
