I play a bit of Street Fighter. Are you playing IV? Who do you play? Also I'm about to get to studying.

@donnie Here I thought nobody on here was into Street Fighter. That's great. I main Ryu but I've tried and failed at using Sakura. Ken and Poison I've used as pocket characters I think that's about it. I'm playing Utra 4 yeah. Studying? College?

I've been playing fighting games for years. But yeah even after it's popularity explosion with the release of IV, fighting games are still a niche genre, so I don't find many people who play it. That said there are a few people on this site that do. At this point, I play about half the cast at the same skill level, but my top 5 are probably 1. Fei Long = Ibuki = Juri 4. Makoto 5. Adon I used to attend a lot of tournaments, but I'm taking a break now and waiting on SF5. It's looking great to me. and I'm not in college, I graduated already a few years ago. I still study a lot of stuff though just because I think it's a good habit and I love learning. Teaching myself Korean and Japanese. I was thinking of going back to school though.

@donnie The only two out of that list I'd be worried about as a Ryu player is Ibuki and Adon. A lot of people are more happy with 5 than I thought they would be....You sound more ambitious than I am. I'm 25 and still trying to work my way through college. I'm trying to teach myself Japanese as well, not as consistent with that as I'd like to be though.

oh Ibuki vs Ryu is fucking balls for Ryu, lol. I mean even in Ultra she still has some unblockable setups against him. And she just still has strong oki in general with her kunai setups against delayed wakeup. and yeah, I bought a few Japanese books and I'm soldiering on through them pretty well. I find most people tend to quit when they get to kanji, and I can see why. It's kind of a bitch. In order for me to really memorize a character, I usually end up having to fill out a whole page of my notebook with it. It would be nice if there was a really good free learning resource for Japanese like for Korean. (Just for anyone who wants to learn Korean that is reading this thread now or in the future, talktomeinkorean.com is amazing. Completely free and has an actual curriculum and not just "lessons" that are really just random phrases like a lot of other language sites put out) but I mean being 25 and still in college isn't bad or anything. A lot of people from 25-30 often start college for the first time or go back after taking it off for a few years, it's extremely common. Especially with military personnel. I wouldn't think about it too much.

@donnie Ibuki is just a little bitch in general. Not to say Ryu didn't have problems with her before but since he went down on the tier list and can't even use Red Focus or Delayed Standing in any good way it's like 7-3 or some ridiculous number. Adon's hard kick and armor breaking stuff is a major pain. I heard there are apps for Japanese on phones. I had to learn the old way by googling and youtubing. There's also a very old educational series I watched....still not fluent but can hold little conversations.

Akuma and Sakura are my favorites. =W= For thread, just lurking here and lurking in the Skype group I'm in. It's dead at the moment. ._. Other than that, just listening to music and deciding if I want to finish setting up my laptop or not.

@RainbowCake Akuma is oddly an easier matchup for me. Not to say the right player isn't dangerous. I'm going to bed now so that's what's up with me.
