PSO-Phantasy Star Online

Anybody remember Phantasy Star Online? Does anybody still play? Ep 1&2/Blue burst/Plus etc.

I loved this game, but unfortunately, I never got my copy back of PSO for Gamecube from the friend to whom I had lent it... and now it goes for over $50 on eBay. I plan on rebuying it someday, though, possibly the Plus version.

I absolutely LOVE PSO too. I have the original Xbox version. Sadly my Xbox started giving me the red light of death. I lost SO much now that i can't play it anymore on my Xbox due to how screwed up they designed it to work on the xbox if your familiar with that version. My sympathies for the loss of your copy, that must have stung a bit. I know,it's crazy how much they They're going for on ebay now. Shortly after my xbox went down I had a bit of a lapse in my sanity and I started looking online and I bought the Plus version for Gamecube. Yep just paid 60 bucks for the Plus version. Good news though I've noticed the non Plus version has had a few listings lately for around 30 to 50 box so well not exactly cheap at least it's a little less expensive possibly. So what was your setup? I mean how far had you gotten in the game and what was your main profile like and all that etc?

Sadly I'm still waiting to get my wavebird controller in the mail so I can play it on my Wii console.

Man I used to live my life on the PSO servers, normally the 2nd ship because the first one was always filled. You know there's a PSOBB PC version that was fan-made and follows the Xbox version. It's pretty nice to be honest but I just couldn't get back into it. It'll never be like the Xbox days.

@animekid Let's see... I just went with a Hunter, I played through Episodes 1 and II entirely and got a good ways into hard mode, but my friends often came over and played on their own save files via my game, so I racked up over 60 hours of extra gametime just from watching... made me get tired of the game too early. haha.

@shadowdemonx9 Blue Burst? Yeah I thought it might still be out there and I thought about it but I wasn't certain that I would fully be able to get into it on a pc after playing it on a console for so long, just wasn't sure it would "feel" the same controlling the character on a keyboard you know? Plus I might kind of come and go and I would still have to pay a subscription fee to play right? It's pretty awesome that it exists for fans still though.

@purefault I was a Hunter too. I chose the human Hunter, I probably would have gone with a Hunewearl but the game said the human Hunter was the most balanced of the Hunter class and since I couldn't change the gender of the character I went with the male hunter. That's pretty good, I managed to magically hold my interest in the game(and amazingly still do) to get through all of Episode's 1 and 2 difficulties up to the early parts of the Ultimate difficulty setting on both. I was stuck in the mines on Ep 1 due to how LONG it took just to get through the first level of the mines, would have taken an easy 3 hrs to get to the boss.....if I could have beaten him, and I managed to get far enough in Ep 2 to hunt for the Sealed J-Sword. I managed to get about 311+ hours on my main save with 2 other *personal* saves with 18/20 hours each in addition. You can imagine how amazed I was when I took notice of the time I put into the game lol.

@shadowdemonx9 Sadly I never made it to getting a Hunter's license to be able to play online, I imagine I would have had SO much additional fun if I had.

@animekid Ha, it's crazy how much time people have poured into that game with how simple it is, but it really sucks you in. I think if I had more friends who really into it at that time, I would have played it even more. Watching my friends play while I sat there got me kinda burnt out, though. I have a friend now (I didn't know him til years after I had stopped playing the game) that was good at mining rare weapons and would spend hours and hours to get rare drops. What level did you get your main character up to?
