Do you consider yourself Anti Social?

gundamu
I'm definitely a lone wolf by nature though I wouldn't call myself anti-social, I actually like meeting new and interesting people but I also tend to keep people at arms length until I've decided that they're worth letting into my life. I've always kept a very small group of people in my life that I'm truly open with, otherwise I'm generally pretty withdrawn and put everyone I meet under a lot of scrutiny. Not openly of course but yeah, in my head I'm judging the hell out of people, it's basically been my defense mechanism against toxic people more or less and it's definitely worked

I consider myself heterosocial

Kaiser’s words..so relatable..True..that kind of defense mechanism works well.Toxic people can’t stand how reserved and withdrawn we can be,and leave or do “interesting” things to get more attention of ours.

"Antisocial personality disorder, sometimes called sociopathy, is a mental condition in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others. People with antisocial personality disorder tend to antagonize, manipulate or treat others harshly or with callous indifference. They show no guilt or remorse for their behavior." THAT'S antisocial. What most of you describe is social anxiety and or just being an introvert. By nature, I'm an introvert and very socially anxious. Not a great combination since it makes it hard to talk even if I want to. The feeling of constant judgement and the feeling of becoming mentally drained very quick in social situations sucks ass. While I don't mind to much my introversion, I absolutely hate my social anxiety. One is always exasperated by the other.

I sometimes socialise so I don't look moody lol. I like to socialise by talking about how I don't like socialising and 90% of the time its a good convo starter. I rarely go out with my friends coz I don't like waiting on people or spending hours in a shop that I don't like, so I just shop by myself or eat by myself. If I'm ever late to something then it's on me.

I value my alone time, and I don't necessarily go seeking out attention or new people, but if I happen to click with someone or find someone with similar interests, I generally stick pretty tight to them. Most people who matter to me, I hold onto for my whole life, no matter what happens. So...yes and no.
