Unpopular opinions

To be honest, I'm one of those asexuals who probably wouldn't be bothered by public nudity. Like "Okay, sure, boobs, whatever. Oh, another dick. I have one too. Seen one, seen them all." Kids who are used to that kinda thing in tribal societies that normalize nudity tend to handle the turbulent years of puberty more gracefully. Meanwhile in most modern cultures, a kid who's taught to be ashamed of their body has a higher tendency to get psychologically fucked up by it. And then we end up with the weird kinda sexual deviants. Most of which I'm cool with, because they aren't threats to other people. But that fraction that tries to act out their fantasies with nonconsensual victims, or need to groom people to be okay with it? Yeah, okay, just return yourself to whatever hole you crawled out of, or get therapy for you and all your victims.

Child modeling shouldn’t be a thing. As a kid it destroyed my view of myself and made me hyper fixated on my body. I’ve seen it happen time and time again, and VERY rarely does it lead to a career in that industry as an adult. It creates a lot of unnecessary competition and pressure on you. And the industry in general is toxic to everyone involved, and in my opinion it dissolves a lot of your personality and the positive things about someone. Yeah, it can be a “fun” experience, and make you feel special, attractive, etc. but there are plenty of other healthier ways to do that than letting a bunch of adults rate how good you look. And the whole superficial interest they put on “having a beautiful personality” is complete bullshit! It’s just a cover up because they don’t want to seem as superficial as they are. And how they bash you for traits you have zero control over, I remember coming home crying because I didn’t have blue eyes so they wouldn’t cast me for something. And not to mention the hierarchy system in there, how the most attractive and desirable girls are always favorited, and how it’s a breeding ground for eating disorders. There’s nothing wrong with modeling at all! I just think it’s best to wait until your older and can work on other things in your life and look at modeling from a different lense other than “oh I feel special,” And having that instantly destroyed the second you actually get in the door.

Yeah, that stuff just makes me cringe, and it sucks that you had to go through it. If I had kids, they're going to grow up as humans, not trophies.

I can understand that a lot actually, at such a young age you’re super impressionable and I can see that leading to those disorders. Like this is the “right” way to look so I have to look like that. That’s the “right” way to dress so I should dress that way. I don’t have this facial feature or this color hair so I’m undesirable. It’s really sad when you think about how it could effect someone.
