How to cope with death.

lordelricsama
So my father died last year. At the age of 92. I was real close with him, nothing could replace a lovable father like him. Hes usually downstairs watching TV, every time I go downstairs and he's not there, It breaks my heart. If there is anyone who knows of anyway to work around this, yes I know its been a year.. But it still hurts.

First of all, my condolences. I lost my 1st girlfriend in an accident & I was mourning about it for years, the primary reason why I was single for a long time. Forgive me because I rather go straight to the point, we will all die in the end. If you think about the good memories & try to live with that instead of the loss, he will always be alive in your heart. I bet he would had wanted you to be happy in the end, specially since you are really close to him.

Lol my dad would always say, "We are born", "We have Children", "Then We die", "Then your kids have children" . The cycle of life is great.

The pain fades as time goes on. It is best to not dwell on what is lost, instead remember and celebrate what has been had.

Try to take solace in the fact he lived a very long life. Not many make it past 90.

i feel like an @#$hole for pointing this out, but ... your father had you when he was 70?? can't imagine how old your mom must have been, crazy, i'm sure he had an awesome life as to your real question, hard to explain, everyone looks at it differently, when i'm less tired, i'll give you a better reply

Time heals all wounds. Find solace in the fact that your dad lived a longer life than many people will ever live.

Death will leave a hole that can never get filled but a relationship leaves bonds that can't be broken. Just cause someone died doesn't mean they're gone.
