Your thoughts?

Key word "ceremony". Churches can still chose to not allow anyone to get married in them. Hell, in the one I used to go to, for the mere fact that me and my ex lived together, if we were to of gotten married, they wouldn't allow there. Marriage is a legal thing. You don't need a church for marriage. Why aren't churches taxed? Isn't that religion getting special treatment by the government?

Ok. It's a tax thing and then there's the ceremony that seems to be tripping you up. Again, you don't need to get married in or "by" any church or religious institution. When you get married, its just a legal thing unless you want other wise. Anyways, I really don't care. Sure there will be backlash, but it will be short lived in the long run and just the norm in the future.

same sex marriage is whateves if you want to marry who you want to marry who is to say you cant? i mean we arent supposed to judge others and really it isnt even you who is getting married so why is seeing two people who are the same gender marry so bad? if that was you, you would've wanted the same. if we are all created equal why should some get rights but others not?
