Attack on titan, friend suggested it to me, I was completley sceptical about anime at first, but after that I binge watched 15-20 episodes per day, fun times.
i wasnt that into it in my childhood but i watch a few that i genuinely like on our local tv channels that features anime shows. but when we finally had internet when i was around 14/15 also with the influence of my cousin who was a huge naruto fan, it hit me like a truck. we only met once and i never really talked to her that single encounter before she leaves for italy. when i saw her room filled with bunch otaku shite, including posters, figurines and even shounen jump magazines. when i went home, i searched endlessly for anime and manga, even learned terms like "otaku" or "yaoi" along the way. well, yaoi was also the third reason i grew obsessed even more. i was more obsessed with yaoi than normal anime shows during my first exposure to otaku-ness
Back a few years ago I was on Netflix watching stuff like family guy but pretty bored. Many times in between episodes or shows I always seen one think pop up in my recommended tab: Sword Art Online at the time I didn't really know much about anime so I was hesitant to watch it but after seeing it there multiple times I decide to read the description and see what its about. I was drawn in when it mentioned trapped in a virtual reality game, so I watched it and have been watching anime ever since.
Naruto and Full metal achemist together! it was in my 10th grade vacations when i finally decided to get a peek on my sister's otaku life and binge watched naruto and full metal alchemist together! Boy i could never return to the sane world after that!!!!
Kero kero kero
