What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

I just go by Shay, I'm 17 I read a lot of manga and that ended up turning into seeing any kind of anime. The anime I would say is... One Piece but I have to say my favorite a time anything is the movie "Koe No Katachi"

Thor, 38, and the first Anime I saw was Akira, which admittedly at the time didn't do much for me other than its soundtrack. It's when I stumbled upon Ebichu that I started looking up proper translations and certain rips. Sailor Moon, though, like many others, was the true 1st ANIME for me that got me into other titles.

My first overall anime that I can remember watching was an OVA called Gunsmith Cats. I don't remember much about it, since I was a small child. Years later, some of the shows on Toonami, such as YuYu Hakusho, Tenchi Muyo, and Rurouni Kenshin, are the ones that got me hooked.
