Sooo.... This pissing contest has what to do with the topic? OP is upset that he lost a job, understandable. So, the next step is advice, not arguing about semantics. No advice? Move on. Simple, really.

@OP It's not always a bad thing to get fired. I mean, if this dude is lying about you, do you really want to work in that kind of environment anyways? It's good that everything is out. Just advice for next time, I don't know what the other person specifically got you on but it's best to always try to get some kind of documentation. I learned that from some of the backstabbing that happens higher up in the company I work for. Communicate everything through email and then bcc every complaint you send to anyone to people higher up the ladder.
