Dating Websites

Hirako_Shinji lol what went through your mind at that time. Did you imagine it? "Daddy or papa" lol a little sooner than you expected right? It really is hard for those single ladies with children to find someone. There's a girl like that where I work. I can't believe she had a second child with the guy that won't marry her. And now when ever guys cross train and visit the office she is all over. Is sad to look at. But is hard for anyone to walk into someones life and become a dad. I guess they should look for single dads maybe that is the best route. Who knows.

I'd rather not imagine being a dad whether it be to someone else's kid or any future one(s) of my own. Not for a very long time at least. Oh, got another similar story: Went on a date with a girl from OkC a little over a week ago. She was nice and everything (was more into videogames and not so much anime sadly), except she has a kid. I tried to look past that at first, but I can't commit to not only a woman, but her kid too (whether that's expected of me or not). I hope that doesn't make me seem like a bad person. I just can't commit to 2+ people right now. Oh, and that's unfortunate Endlessknight. I'll be sure to stay away from your workplace and that woman!

POF and okaycupid blow giant monkey dingus. Most of the girls there get swamped with messages and rarely respond back unless you look like Tom Brady. I think those sites are more appearence driven than anything.

A lot of dating sites and by a lot i mean majority... are all appearance driven. lol.

This is the sad truth. I've even done searches for users interested in anime and messaged a few of them and got no responses. I have thought about joining eHarmony, you have to pay money but they do the matching for you. I don't know at this point.

Haha don't sign up for anything that requires you to pay. It's a waste of time and it doesn't matter if they have an automated system by matching you with other people. You will still have the same effect of all other sites. It's the person that decides if you're worth talking to, not the system. If anything, this site is your best bet or just possibly go out to Cons and hope you can find someone.

They say that you will go through 100 people before you get a date on one of the regular dating sites. I don't even know how many you go through before you find something more long-term. A while back there was this stir on the internet about how World of Warcraft is actually a better "dating site" than real ones. What WoW has going for it is that every who plays has similar hobbies and interests. At the very least, they're all gamers. That's why I think this site has A LOT of potential. Everyone here has common interests. I'm not even just talking about hobbies. Since this is technically a dating site, it helps people get through the barriers that we have. Most people are comfortable commenting or the internet but become paralyzed with fear with face to face communication. Compared to the rest of the users on a mainstream dating site, we're all very similar to each other. There's more of an immediate connection. If there were more users there would be higher chances of finding romance. That's why I say there is a lot of potential here.

Geek2Geek looks somewhat promising. And like everyone else is saying, MaiOtaku is also great, it just needs more users.
stand_alone_complex
Yeah. More users would be great but it doesn't help if the new users are inactive.

I pulled this quote from a comment in a fantastic blog I was reading: <i>"Half of it is eharmony matching you with inactive members, half of it is the attitude of women on dating websites. A women who is a 6/10 in the real world is about a 9/10 in the online world, just because guys are so less selective than women when it comes to online dating. Without fail, if you are a guy doing online dating you will only go on dates with women less attractive and less intelligent than you, that’s just how it works. I did eharmony for 6 months, I got tons of matches just like you, I tried communicating with women, but very few of the ones that I contacted got back to me. It got so frustrating that I started communicating with women that I wouldn’t approach at a bar, but even they weren’t getting back to me. I’m not a ugly guy either, I’m a fairly good looking, 26 year old architect, 5’10″. So then I just started contacting anybody and everybody. Finally getting responses from some women who I wouldn’t set up with my worst enemy, but went on a bunch of dates anyways just a complete waste of time. In conclusion, men in the online dating world, don’t expect to date attractive intelligent women, don’t even expect to date women who are on par with or slightly below your attractiveness and intelligence. Online dating is a bunch of bull, I’m done with it."</i>
