Dub vs Sub or both equally good?

i favor sub more but in some of the older animes (Yu Yu Hakusho, Ouran,) i thnk the dub is way better

Depends. For an anime like Hetalia, I like to watch both because of how different the script is. The Japanese is true to the original and has prettier voices, but the English dub is actually funny and has more crude humor. For an anime with high-pitched girls, I will prefer the dub, because I cannot stand the high-pitched moe girl voice. If it's an anime with mostly bishounen characters, I prefer the subs because Japanese male voice actors just sound so much sexier and not so old. If both high-pitched girls and sexy bishounen guys are in the anime... well I don't know what to do, I probably would go for the dub to make it bearable, unless it's genuinely bad. I think the Valkyria Chronicles game is a good example. The English dub is good, but a lot of the males sound kinda goofy. The girls sound awesome in English. The Japanese dub is good, and has pretty-sounding guys, but most of the girls have annoying high-pitched voices. ...So I play it in English.

Lol, kind of off topic but your mention of Japanese females having annoying high pitch voices reminds me. The same thing annoys me about Japanese porn, the girls sound like are in pain. I watched Texhnolyze the other day which was in English and really liked it. But if I'm used to subs for a specific series, dubs just seem weird.

Yeah, it is kinda depressing but the whole "rape" thing is really popular as a fetish in Japan... to the point it's pretty much mainstream there. Which is bad because they won't help rape victims unless they're underage kids. And I know that feeling, that watching an anime you first saw in Japanese does feel weird to watch it again in English. XD

I think its a matter of quality. As a german I can choose between original with subtitles, german or english dub. German dubs are (with a few exceptions) really really bad, not only in anime, but movies in general. English is hardly better for anime. So I only got subs.. with the problem that japanese anima-voice-actors speak in phrases, means they have exactly 1(!!!) sentence for every situation, means once you watched some anime, you will know what they will say, depending on the situation they are in, what really annoys me. But at least the sub-makers translate it in different ways. Means: fuck you voice actors and script writers, yay to the subtitle-makers.

Thats by biggest issue with a large portion of lolicon art, in that it's often very rapish with the girls crying and such or extremely young (toddlercon). I don't like that, but I like the slightly older more natural stuff. Or stuff like KissXSis is hot. But I don't like any forced/domination/hurting of girls. Though I don't mind the other way around. I used to let cute girls lead me on a leash. Sorry, off topic. I like whatever fits best for a particular series, subs or dubs.

Yeah, and after I read an article about CP on the internet, it really made me realize just how rotten a huge population of the world is, and how so many people can enjoy violent rape of minors(some being parents exploiting their own toddlers even!) really upset me. Everytime I see a lolicon, I get a bit on edge because I don't know if they only like 2D kids(which I know most only like 2D), or if they could also like real kids, because some do... >.<

I think both are have an equal standing in the world of anime, but I just suck at watching subs because I can never read the subtitles fast enough. I'm a very slow reader, but regardless I still think both are great in the world of anime.
