Why don't any of you join the Catholic Church?

Dude, you're talking about the molestation scandal like it's one singular thing. It's been hundreds if not thousands of kids, it's happened over decades (lets just go with since the dawn of the religion), and they are continuously being swept under the rugs by various clergymen, not just the Pope. You've proposed it as a fact but right now it has no documented source. No need to watch the news to try to catch all the molestation cases if you obviously know the numbers here. And besides the take on homosexual marriage, is there anything else?

I'm not going to sit here and deny the scandals of molestation, corruption, homophobia, sexism, racism, and other problems of the Church. But the Church is so much more than that. We take care of the poor, the homeless, the needy. We provide medicine and education all around the world. We do give back. And it's a sin that we have taken advantage of the weak. I'm sorry as a Catholic. But the Church isn't about the faults of our leaders- it's about God. Yeah, if you don't believe in God I can't convince you to join the Church. But if your hurt by the clergy's actions, there is hope for reconciliation.

I am guilty by association. People accuse me of taking money to pay for Vatican jets and supporting molestation. Whether I am personally guilty or not, I am part of a large organized group that did that. It's like being a German during 1933-1945. Everyone will think you are a Nazi
