Nagisa's death scene for sure hits me right in the feels, I can't even hear Dango Daikazoku anymore without tearing up a little. Excluding the morbidly depressing though I'd have to say the galaxy throwing at the end of Gurren Lagann

Well... The scene where Ash Ketchum gets turned to stone and Pikachu cries while failing to revive him in Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes back pretty much wrecked every child at the time... In an more mature perspective it was teaching a lesson between the balance between logic and emotions. Where Mewtwo represented emotionless logical thinking while Mew represented compassion and reasoning.
