Speed dating at Conventions?

I was at Wizard Comic Con and they had speed dating. Free for the ladies. Not sure what the guys had to pay. I have no idea if this was normal for a convention or if it is normal to end up sitting next to Candy Suxx in speed dating. Have you been speed dating at a convention? Is it interesting? Is it normal? I am curious

Men outnumber females & you end up with a person based on first impressions. If you don't take it seriously & just want to meet new people with similar hobbies, it's worth to try.

Sure those sound nice and I'm not gonna lie I'd like to have something like that but there wouldn't be any love there. If I ever do something like Otaku Speed Dating, I'm in it to win it. I'm gonna try my best to try to get myself a legit girlfriend.

Well when I went it was so loud you couldn't hear the person. I think they needed a bigger room with tables and such. But they didn't. I was next to a girl named Candy Suxx from grand thief auto (a binki babe, so yeah I was sitting next to the girl wearing the least and she kinda pretty too). One guy seems to have gone so people could guess what his costume was. One guy was really popular and one girl was really popular (Candy Suxx, whom got all 50 numbers). Oh and none of the guys knew what a keyblade was. That was my experience with it.

So like.. Idk that sounds kinda weird. I might have found someone anyhow, but my introvertedness would probably come out.

I saw the 100 people long line to a speed dating thing at a convention once. Total sausage fest. No thanks. What a pointless endeavor. I went to the hotel bar literally right next to the line and got the phone number of a girl sitting there alone. Oh, the irony.

Yeah it's funny I've met more girls outside of the speed dating, mostly just standing in line with people conversation happens.
