What novels would you like to see made into anime?

I'd like to see the Lord of the Rings books, cause it'd be interesting to see how they'd interpret the text. Or to see their take on Dune.

What novel wouldn't one want to watch as an anime? I would prefer fantasy or sci-fi as Anime is able to make that stuff look so much more freaking awesome!

I actually have always wanted to see Maximum Ride turned into an anime. That wish came partly true when a manga version of the series came out. It would be great if they just took that next step and created an anime series, but considering the live-action movie plans fell through a few years back and the fact that there probably isn't much interest in the series anymore I doubt it would happen.
