Smoking, a major turn off ?

For me, it's a deal breaker. I hate the smell, and it reminds me too much of my sister's disgusting weasel of an ex husband.

I don't think I could ever date anyone that smoked. For one, smoking causes cancer. If I were actually considering a future with them, I wouldn't want to have to deal with that. Especially if we had kids. If they died, I'd suddenly be in a situation where I had to find money for the family and such, not to mention fees for cancer treatment. Many of my friends have lost loved ones to cancer, and I saw how much it effected them, both emotionally and financially. Secondly, Second-hand smoke is a thing. Not only would they be raising the chances of cancer in themselves, but they'd also be risking my health as well. Thirdly, Cigarettes are expensive. Did you know that you could afford to have an expensive wedding at Disneyland with all the money you spend on cigarettes? Smoking is a selfish thing to do. If you care about your health or your family, you should try your best to quit.

I'm simply disgusted by the taste and habit. To me it shows a severe lack of self control and respect too. Those who smoke have heard just about every reason under the sun as to why they shouldn't so often they'll ignore advice or assume they've heard it before and pretend to hear without listening. So I don't try to change their ways anymore unless I care about the person enough.
