Favorite Japanese Food?

-_- buffets are not where you find authentic Japanese food. There are plenty of Japanese restaurants that offer real sushi; expensive yes, but they exist. But otakus are generally broke because they spend their money on crunchyroll membership and body pillows

i guess the next time I go to my fav sushi place, I'll see if they have anything "authentic". Doesn't hurt to ask and they're always super friendly. ^_^

Sashimi is bland. I like the rolls because there's so many things you can have in them, so many combinations. Like coconut shrimp with cucumber and carrots wrapped with tuna, garlic and togarashi glaze and a small piece of lemon. It's a symphony dancing on your palette! I'm too much of a foodie to keep it basic or too authentic I guess. Lol

I want to go to Japan to a fishing dock one morning and watch them catch the fish and slice it for fresh sashimi. I see it on NHK call the time.

There I would probably try it. Here? Not so much. The fact that the fish isn't THAT fresh could be why they are having a fushion explosion with sushi. Masking the flavors and what nots.

My favorite Japanese Food or should I call street food the most tasitiest snack ever..Takoyaki~ :D and I love eating Sashimi's,Yakisoba's and Especially Macarel~ ;)
